Congressional Andean Region Caucus

Congressman Joseph Crowley founded the Congressional Andean Region Caucus during the 107th Congress to heighten awareness of the political, social, and economic issues that affect the nations of the Andean Region on a daily basis.

The Andean Region nations (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela) have been faced with many challenges since independence. The dawn of the twenty-first century finds these nations at a crucial point in their history. As democratization, economic integration, and technological advances proliferate throughout the world, it is essential that the Andean region not be left behind.
