Presidential Greeting Obtain a Government Document

The availability of federal documents has increased as a result of the growing use of the Internet. Documents may be retrieved online through the Government Printing Office from federal agencies, or through the Library of Congress. If you experience difficulties, one of the following resources below may help you obtain your document.



House of Representatives Document Room
The House of Representatives Document Room releases documents such as copies of bills and concurrent and joint resolutions at no charge. To obtain documents, call 202-226-5200 or e-mail the Document Room at
Hdocs@mail.house.gov.


Federal Depository Library
The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) designates existing libraries as circulators of federal documents produced by all three branches of government. To locate a federal depository near you, visit http://www.gpoaccess.gov/libraries.html.

Government Printing Office
The Government Printing Office provides various documents such as laws, reports from federal agencies and departments, and copies of the Congressional Record at a fee. To obtain documents, call 202-512-1800.
