Congressman Crowley Announces the Start of Open Enrollment for New York’s Health Insurance Marketplace

Nov 10, 2014 Issues: Health Care

(Queens, N.Y.)  – Today, Rep. Joe Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx), Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus, announced the start of open enrollment for New York’s health insurance marketplace, which runs from November 15, 2014 to February 15, 2015. The open enrollment period gives New Yorkers the opportunity to apply for coverage, review their current plan, or select a new plan for 2015.

“The Affordable Care Act is providing access to quality and affordable coverage that, until now, has been out of reach for too many Americans,” said Rep. Crowley. “Open enrollment only comes once a year, so it is extremely important that every New Yorker purchasing health coverage through New York’s marketplace take the time to review their plan options and ensure they have a plan that meets their health needs for the coming year, that their family information is all up to date, and that they are not missing out on valuable financial assistance.”

New Yorkers purchasing healthcare through the state marketplace can review plans and compare coverage options through the official New York State of Health website at:
