Congressman Crowley Meets With Local Bronx Business Owner

(Washington, D.C.) – On Tuesday, October 4th, Rep. Joe Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx) met with Mike Muzyk, President of Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. in the Bronx, in his Capitol Hill office. During the meeting, Rep. Crowley and Mr. Muzyk discussed nutrition issues, food safety, and the 2012 Farm Bill, among other issues.

“I always appreciate the opportunity to meet with business leaders from the Bronx and Queens,” said Rep. Crowley. “They have invaluable insight into the economy and the ways Congress can help U.S. businesses – big and small – grow and succeed. It was great to meet with Mike and hear more about Baldor Specialty Foods, their work to make healthy food more accessible and the issues that are on the top of Baldor employees’ minds.”

Congressman Crowley is a seven-term representative from the 7th Congressional District of New York, which includes sections of Queens and the Bronx. He is a member of the Ways and Means Committee and is a chief deputy whip in the Democratic leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives.
