Vice Chair Crowley Statement on World AIDS Day

Dec 1, 2015 Issues: Health Care, In the Community

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Rep. Joe Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx), Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus, released the following statement commemorating World AIDS Day:

“Today is a day to remember the lives lost to this disease, to reflect on the progress made, and to renew our commitment to eliminating AIDS once and for all.

“While we've made great strides in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, we must continue to strengthen these efforts to fight AIDS both here in the United States and around the globe. We must also ensure we are caring for those living with AIDS, as well as their families, by providing the support they need.

“I believe an AIDS-free generation is achievable, and I look forward to the day when World AIDS Day marks the past and not the present.”
